Cooking with kids is a lot of fun. Not only does it help them understand where food comes from and learn to appreciate it, but it also boosts their appetite—and not to mention, it strengthens parent-child relationships. Today, let’s share a simple egg salad sandwich recipe that both adults and kids will love.
Ingredients:
4 eggs
10 slices of toast
2.5 tablespoons Japanese mayonnaise
A pinch of salt
A pinch of black pepper
Instructions:
1. First, add salt to cold water and bring it to a boil with the eggs to cook them. (Boil for 7–8 minutes after it comes to a boil)
* Boiling time may vary depending on heat level and pot size. Adjust as needed.

2. Once the eggs are cooked, separate the egg whites from the yolks, and chop the whites.

3. Mix the yolks with mayonnaise, salt, and pepper.

4. Then add the chopped egg whites and stir until well combined.

5. Finally, sandwich the egg salad between toast slices, and you’re done—wasn’t that easy? Get cooking with your kids now.

Tips
1. Adding salt to the water when boiling eggs helps reduce cracking and prevents the egg whites from spilling out.
2. Japanese mayonnaise has a tangier taste. If you prefer sweetness, regular mayonnaise works too.
3. Avoid chopping the egg whites too finely to maintain their texture.
