Exclusive video sneak peek: ANA Star Wars R2-D2 livery aircraft arrives in Tokyo today

The highly anticipated ANA Star Wars livery aircraft, long awaited by Star Wars and aviation fans alike, officially arrived in Tokyo today (October 2). ANA has also released footage of this R2-D2-themed aircraft arriving at Tokyo Airport, giving all fans an early look.

This R2-D2 livery aircraft is a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, designed to coincide with the release of the movie *Star Wars: The Force Awakens*. It made its first public appearance in Seattle on September 13. After arriving in Tokyo today, it is scheduled to make its maiden flight on the Tokyo–Vancouver route on October 18. The aircraft will also feature Star Wars-themed items, including pillowcases, paper cups, and a full collection of Star Wars movies.

This R2-D2 livery aircraft will be deployed on routes to Europe, North America, Australia, and China. ANA will also introduce a 767-300 converted Star Wars livery aircraft and a 777-300 BB-8 livery aircraft.
