All 19 hot spring resorts in Taiwan come together for a “fun” soak — the 2015 Hot Spring & Gourmet Carnival kicks off

Autumn has arrived, making it the perfect time for a hot spring soak.The “2015 Taiwan’s Best Springs – Hot Spring & Gourmet Carnival” officially launched on October 2, 104 (2015), at the Sichongxi Hot Spring area in Pingtung County. The event will run until January 31, 105 (2016),and is a comprehensive marketing campaign that brings together hot spring operators across Taiwan, local cuisine, and in-depth travel information. With the theme “Oh Bear GO Soaking ‘Fun’,” the event aims to showcase the various “fun” aspects of soaking in Taiwanese hot springs and create an impression that you simply must come to Taiwan for a hot spring experience.

Taiwan’s popular tourism mascot, “Oh Bear,” will not only take everyone to enjoy Taiwan’s great hot springs and local food, but will also introduce the unique charms of each hot spring area — such as stargazing at Sichongxi, watching the sunrise and listening to the waves in Green Island, or admiring fireflies in Qingshui Jianshi — to hot spring-loving visitors.

The Tourism Bureau stated that this year’s event has integrated information from over 180 operators who have obtained the “Hot Spring Label,” along with special lodging and restaurant deals offering promotions. It has also producedthe “Good Deal Passport”,which not only compiles features of each hot spring area and discount information from hot spring shops, but also includes public transportation details. The public can pick up a free copy at any of Taiwan’s tourism service centers or download it for free fromthe official website of the event.
