Tiandu Mountain

　　Introduction     Tiandu Mountain in Haiyuan County, also known as West Mountain, is situated to the west of the ancient site of Xianzhou. It stands opposite Nanhua Mountain from east to west, offering a distant view of the Yellow River in Jingyuan, Gansu, and a spectacular sunrise in the morning. Blessed with a superior natural environment, it serves as a natural summer retreat. The mountain is also home to many temples, shrines, and Buddhist statues. Research suggests that the “Ancestral Master” cave on the mountain was a summer retreat for Li Yuanhao, the ruler of the Western Xia Dynasty. This mountain is a treasured site shared by both Buddhism and Taoism, holding significant scientific value for the study of the history of these two religions.
