Mount Naiqinkangsang
Mount Naiqinkangsang has an elevation of 7,191 meters and is located at 90°6′ east longitude and 28°54′ north latitude, lying at the intersection of Jiangzi County, Renbu County, and Langkazi County in Shannan Prefecture. To the south of the Yarlung Tsangpo River and north of the Himalayas lies a mountain range extending over 360 kilometers, known to the Tibetan people as the Lhagoi Kangri Range. Mount Naiqinkangsang is situated in the eastern section of the Lhagoi Kangri Mountains, surrounded by more than ten main peaks all exceeding 6,000 meters in height, making it one of the four great snow mountains in central Tibet. The mountain features a majestic body, steep and rugged cliffs, with a sharp, pointed summit resembling an eagle’s beak. The year-round snow accumulation in the slopes and valleys has given rise to numerous glaciers, including the Karola Glacier which formed here.
