Monmouth
Monmouth is located at the confluence of the River Monnow and the River Wye, about 3.2 kilometers from the English border and 58 kilometers northeast of Cardiff, the capital of Wales, as well as 204 kilometers west of London. It is a town in southeastern Wales and the county town of Monmouthshire.

This tranquil city boasts numerous historical sites and is also the birthplace of King Henry V of England. On May 19, 2012, it became the world’s first “Wikipedia Town.” The 13th-century Monnow Bridge is the only remaining bridge of its kind in Britain and serves as a local landmark. The famous Shire Hall features a statue of Henry V, while the nearby Rolls & Royce statue, which gazes at a model airplane, commemorates his first non-stop round-trip flight across the English Channel in June 1910. The Nelson Museum in the town offers a comprehensive exhibition on the life and achievements of British naval hero Horatio Nelson, along with some war relics.

The spacious Agincourt Square, numerous leisurely pubs, the picturesque Wye Valley, the ancient Monmouth Castle, and the greenery-covered Nelson Garden are all worth a visit.
