Labuche Kang Peak

Labuche Kang Peak
Introduction Located at the border of Nyalam County and Tingri County in Tibet, Labuche Kang Peak stands at an elevation of 7,367 meters. The area is surrounded by ice peaks, interspersed with snow-covered slopes, glaciers, and ice towers. Avalanches, icefalls, falling rocks, and crevasses frequently occur on the icy slopes, compounded by harsh weather conditions, making climbing extremely challenging. The best seasons for climbing are April to May and October to November. On October 26 and 27, 1987, a joint Sino-Japanese mountaineering team reached the summit for the first time in two separate groups via the northwest ridge. Transportation From Lhasa, take the China-Nepal Highway through Gyantse and Shigatse to Xegar, then head south to Tingri and follow a simple road to the climbing base camp at Langguo (at an altitude of 4,500 meters), covering a distance of approximately 87 kilometers.
