Changbai Mountain Cultural Expo City

　　The Changbai Mountain Cultural Expo City is situated southwest of the county town, in Mingyue Town, the seat of Antu County, and lies along the main route to Changbai Mountain. The expo city covers a total area of 37 hectares, with the currently developed area spanning 7 hectares. It consists of a thematic sculpture—Source of the Three Rivers, a musical fountain, the Sixteen Peaks of Baishan, a relief wall, a bronze-paved pathway, a poetry corridor, a waterside terrace, the Pine-Listening Pavilion, an outdoor theater, and a statue of Liu Jianfeng, the first county magistrate. It serves not only as a leisure and recreational destination but also as a stunning cultural landmark.

　　The Cultural Expo Palace is built within the expo city, situated in its central area. It authentically recreates the formation process of Heaven Lake on Changbai Mountain, showcases the mountain’s geological features, rare species, and forest vegetation, while distilling and condensing the comprehensive characteristics of Changbai Mountain. It serves as a tangible medium for promoting Changbai Mountain culture and offers a vivid panorama of the mountain’s history.

　　Here, visitors can learn about the history of Changbai Mountain and experience its profound and extensive culture. That’s why we plan to construct the Cultural Expo Palace within the expo city. The palace will encompass the geological features of Changbai Mountain, the formation of Heaven Lake, the primeval forests, biological resources, the history of Changbai Mountain, as well as the legendary tales and evolutionary stories passed down through its historical journey. Changbai Mountain culture is an important part of Chinese national culture. It represents the collective material, political, and spiritual wealth created by the various ethnic groups in the Changbai Mountain region throughout the course of social and historical development, embodying a high-level form of productive force.
