Ruijin Ye Ping Red Tourism Scenic Area

　　The Ye Ping Red Tourism Scenic Area is situated in Ye Ping Village, Ye Ping Township, Ruijin City, approximately 5 kilometers from the urban area. It is one of the most well-preserved complexes of revolutionary heritage sites in China. The site features 23 revolutionary relics and memorial structures, including 16 that are designated as Major Historical and Cultural Sites Protected at the National Level. This was the birthplace of the first national-level red political power in China—the Provisional Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic—and also the first base in Ruijin for the Central Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party’s Soviet Area and the Provisional Central Government. Many veteran proletarian revolutionaries, such as Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, Ren Bishi, and Wang Jiaxiang, lived and worked here. It was here that the title “Chairman Mao” was first widely used. The site is recognized as one of China’s National Patriotic Education Demonstration Bases and a Classic Red Tourism Destination.
