Tamsui Qingshuiyan is not only the spiritual center of the Tamsui area but also a hall that showcases the region’s religious artistry. The temple’s pillars, stone carvings, and wood carvings are uniquely crafted with exceptional skill. Each pillar features intricately carved dragons, with their heads leaping up from the base and bodies extending downward, giving them a majestic and fierce appearance. Most of the stone carvings depict characters from the classic Chinese novel "The Investiture of the Gods" (Fengshen Yanyi), rendered with exquisite craftsmanship and lifelike detail. In addition, the couplets and calligraphy found throughout the Tamsui Ancestral Temple were created by renowned scholars and master calligraphers of the time, with every character worthy of careful appreciation by visitors.
