Jinshan Old Street was established as early as the end of the Yongzheng era during the Qing Dynasty. Originally, the street served as a hub for agricultural and fishing products. After hundreds of years of development, it has evolved into what it is today. At the T-junction on the western section of the old street stands the century-old Guang’an Temple, and the famous Jinshan duck at the temple entrance has been a local culinary favorite for decades, beloved by both locals and international visitors. In addition, the old street is home to traditional businesses such as a century-old rice shop, a Chinese medicine store, an antique shop, and a grocery store. There are also local specialties such as red sweet potatoes, taro, and yams, as well as a variety of snacks including meat pies, wife cakes, pineapple cakes, and Taiwanese stir-fries, allowing visitors to enjoy the unique atmosphere while savoring delicious local treats.
