Bodhi Garden
Introduction
The Bodhi Chan Temple is situated on the northeastern coast of Macau and is the largest temple in the region. It also features Macau’s largest Buddhist statue. The statue’s head is 4.4 meters high and weighs about six tons. It is cast in bronze, with the left hand resting flat and the right hand raised, exuding a dignified and compassionate expression. Outside the temple garden, there is also a Thai-style Four-Faced Buddha statue. The temple complex covers a large area and includes not only the Mahavira Hall and several other shrines but also vegetable fields and a dining hall. The dining hall opens to the public during meal times, allowing visitors to enjoy vegetarian meals.
