Lukeng
Lukeng is located near Sha Tau Kok and Yantian District in Shenzhen, where a significant amount of natural ecology remains preserved. It is a well-known spot for egret watching and also features mangroves that are rare to find in urban areas. Yazhou is overgrown with miscellaneous trees and serves as a habitat for various species of egrets. You can observe the every move of the little egrets up close, while the nearby mangrove forest also hosts many unique plants such as Kandelia obovata, Excoecaria agallocha, and Bruguiera gymnorrhiza. Additionally, you can find some animals commonly seen in mangrove areas, such as mudskippers and fiddler crabs.
