Coloane Island
Coloane Island is located about 10 kilometers south of Macau Peninsula, connected to the main urban area by a reclaimed land road. The island has many historical attractions. The area around Coloane Plaza serves as the island’s center, with nearby sites including A-Ma Temple, Hac Sa Beach, and Seac Pai Van Park. The southern part of the island has a long coastline featuring beaches and rocky shores, while the north is more mountainous, with dense forests. Near Hac Sa Beach, there is an elegant chapel with delicate architecture, and the square nearby houses a café that offers snacks and coffee. In addition, there is a memorial park that commemorates the 1910 victory of Coloane residents over pirates.
