Museum of World Religions
The Museum of World Religions is situated on Zhongshan Road in Yonghe District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. It was established on November 9, 2001, by Master Hsin Tao, founder of the Ling Jiou Mountain Monastery. Through its collections, research, exhibitions, educational activities, and publications, the museum aims to promote the core values of life education, enhance visitors’ understanding and appreciation of world religions and cultures, and broaden their personal and cultural experiences.

The Museum of World Religions is the world’s first museum dedicated to the theme of religion. Upon entering, visitors are guided through a cleansing water wall installation before beginning their journey. Here, they can leave their own handprint as a personal souvenir; explore the “Golden Hall” adorned with images of the cosmos; and walk through the “Journey of Life” exhibit, which showcases birth, growth, adulthood, aging, death, and the afterlife across various cultures. The museum features cutting-edge interactive multimedia displays, earning widespread acclaim both domestically and internationally, and offers visitors a unique journey into human civilization and the experience of life.

The establishment of the Museum of World Religions provides an opportunity for people to learn about different faiths and choose their own spiritual path. It also encourages open dialogue among religions, reducing conflict and dispute.
