To complement the vividly sculpted nine dragons, a set of classically styled buildings has been ingeniously constructed on the dam that spans the canal, with a total floor area of about 600 square meters. These include two octagonal pavilions on either side, a central gate tower, and a corridor connecting the pavilions and the gate tower. There are also corridors about 100 meters long on both sides of the large pool. Within the scenic area, the pedestrian pathways are paved with red-and-green tiles, presenting a neat and attractive appearance. Several newly installed public telephone booths reflect the designers' human-centered philosophy. The uniquely designed, towering street lamps lend a special charm to Jiulong Pool under the night sky. The entire architectural complex features carved beams and painted rafters, vibrant colors, and rich ethnic characteristics. As an artificial tourist attraction, Jiulong Pool has attracted considerable attention from visitors. Since its completion, it has drawn numerous tourists daily for sightseeing and photography, and has become a proud riverside landmark for local residents.
