Former Residence of Zhang Fuyun
The former residence of Zhang Fuyun is situated at No. 2 Changde Road, Heping District, Tianjin. Constructed in 1935, it spans an area of 6.457 municipal mu with a building area of 1,238.27 square meters. It is a villa designed in the style of a European courtyard, featuring a two-story structure with a mixed brick-and-wood construction, hollow brick floor slabs with small ribs, and red brick exposed walls. The property boasts a spacious yard and a tranquil environment. The main entrance hall of the villa has a colored marble floor, while the first-floor rooms are adorned with various styles of decorative motifs and fireplaces. The living room walls feature four sets of paired classical Western-style pilasters, arranged as double columns and beams. The second floor houses bedrooms and bathrooms, each with a balcony. The corridor is lined with Roman Tuscan-style pilasters along the walls. The entire building consists of 39 rooms of varying sizes. After the liberation, the villa came under the management of the housing authority in 1952 and was later used as a guesthouse by Tianjin Municipality. In 1997, with the approval of the municipal government, the Tianjin Cultural Relics Bureau designated the villa as a third batch municipal-level cultural relics protection unit.
