Tiantai Mountain · Yagu Mountain Scenic Area

　　Introduction       Tiantai Mountain is located 18 kilometers north of Hanzhong city center and is a national 2A-level scenic area. It boasts magnificent natural scenery and numerous historical sites, renowned as the “Eighteen Scenic Spots of Tiantai,” and has long been a popular tourist destination in Hanzhong. The area features tourist facilities such as - Mountain Villa, the Tiantai Cable Car, and a dedicated passenger transport line to meet visitors’ needs.     Yagu Mountain, also known as Jindou Mountain or Baofeng Mountain, has a legend that the Lotus Fairy from Yaochi descended to the Feixian Gully of Madao in Liuba and turned into a mute girl. After being enlightened by Guanyin, she gathered herbs and made elixirs to heal the mountain people. Later, she ascended to Jindou Mountain and returned to heaven. Later generations built a temple in her memory and renamed Jindou Mountain to Yagu Mountain. Yagu Mountain features unique peaks standing independently among the surrounding mountains. From Nantianmen to Guanyin Summit, dozens of temples and shrines of various sizes have been built along the mountain terrain, housing hundreds of deities.   Transportation       Take bus route 13 to get there.
