New Hamasha Outpost is located at the western end of the scenic area, six kilometers from the county town. It sits atop the ridge along the main road that winds uphill, and consists of the ruins of the old outpost, the Yunnan-Guizhou Western Post Road, Tashan Mountain, the "Loyal as the Boat of Artemisia" stone inscription, as well as scenic elements such as tomb memorial archway stone plaques adorned with images of bamboo branches and orchids on both sides and the "Two Dragons Fighting for the Pearl" design. Tashan Mountain lies to its north.
