Ancient City Site of Chuanshan

The ancient city site of Chuanshan is situated about 39 kilometers southeast of Liuzhou County and roughly 1 kilometer from the location of the People’s Government of Chuanshan Township. It was discovered during the 1981 cultural relics survey. The site is rectangular in shape, measuring approximately 40 meters in length from north to south and about 30 paces in width from east to west. The city walls were built from rammed earth. Today, over 60 meters of the wall still remain, standing at a height of 0.5 to 0.8 meters. To the west of the city lies a moat, 1.5 meters wide and 1 meter deep. Fragments of Ming Dynasty ceramics have been found within the site.
