Wulai Waterfall
Wulai Waterfall is also known as "Yunxian Waterfall" or "Shiraito (White Thread Waterfall)." Since the Japanese colonial period, it has been famed as the "Waterfall from the Clouds." It is located on the right bank of the Nanshi Stream in Wulai District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. The waterfall stands 80 meters high and 10 meters wide. Its flow is as graceful and ethereal as the legendary "Waterfall from the Clouds," truly indescribable.

Wulai Waterfall is the most famous attraction in the Wulai area and the largest and most dramatic waterfall in Northern Taiwan. As the water cascades down, it crashes against rocks, splitting into hundreds of thin streams before converging again into a powerful torrent. Its appearance constantly changes with the volume of water and wind conditions, resembling a woman with a thousand faces. At the base of the fall, the water plunges down like a herd of galloping horses, gathering into a pool of crystal-clear water that refreshes the soul—making it an ideal summer retreat. Additionally, during dawn and dusk, due to the high elevation and frequent fog in the area, the peak is often shrouded in mist, while the waterfall appears veiled in a delicate gauze, creating a subtly romantic atmosphere that stirs the imagination.
