Tiandi Theater

　　The Dongcheng District Children's Palace Theater (Tiandi Theater) is situated on the east side of the northbound area of Dongsi Shitiao Overpass on the East Second Ring Road, on the first floor of the Dongcheng District Children's Palace building. It covers a construction area of over 3,000 square meters, with nearly 915 seats and good sightlines. The stage is equipped with electric hoists, lighting, sound systems, and film projection equipment. In recent years, the theater has hosted various events organized by municipal and district government agencies as well as primary and secondary schools. During winter and summer vacations, it holds special movie screenings for students. The theater has also been designated by the Municipal Bureau of Culture as a tourism acrobatics venue, hosting acrobatic performances for both domestic and international tour groups from 7:10 PM to 8:30 PM every evening. All are welcome to visit.

　　As an off-campus educational facility, Tiandi Theater has consistently maximized its educational role. From 2001 to 2002, it hosted over 150 diverse activities organized by schools across the district. With comfortable seating, a professional stage, and attentive services, Tiandi Theater has become an important venue for student activities. It also provides opportunities for cultural and artistic exchanges in off-campus education across different regions.

　　In addition to providing space for student activities, Tiandi Theater continuously serves the community by actively supporting neighborhood education and cultural programs. The theater has offered its venue free of charge for cultural performances during the Dongzhimen Subdistrict Art Festival, and hosts health workshops for seniors every Saturday and Sunday, along with large-scale English lectures and consultation sessions. From 2001 to 2002, Tiandi Theater accommodated over 380 meetings, performances, and events organized by municipal and district authorities as well as various sectors of society.
