Dahaizi Folk Village
Dahaizi Village in Yinjiawu Township is located 15 kilometers southwest of Fengxiang County. To the north lies Lingshan Jinghui Temple, to the east neighbors the No. 1 Tomb of Duke Qin, to the south connects ancient Chen Cang, and to the west is adjacent to Baoji’s Second Power Plant. The village has a total of 4 villager groups, 460 households, and over 1,900 residents. The sheep-slaughtering industry in the village originated in the 1960s, boasts a long history and unique characteristics, and the women’s sheep-slaughtering team is well known far and wide. Since 2003, the township and village have leveraged this resource advantage. Based on thorough research, demonstration, and extensive public feedback, they have actively organized and guided some households to develop a folk-style lamb cuisine business integrating slaughtering, processing, and catering within their own courtyards and cave dwellings. After five years of operation, the prototype of Dahaizi Folk Village has taken shape. What started as a small-scale initiative among a few households has now expanded to over 120 households across the entire village, capable of slaughtering more than 90,000 sheep annually, with 26 qualified hosting households developed.
The workforce has reached over 270 people, with an average daily reception of more than 700 visitors. The development momentum is promising, and the annual economic income exceeds 15 million yuan. The development of the folk village has effectively increased agricultural income and promoted rural economic growth.
