The villa is centered around the Qunli Reservoir, making full use of the lush green mountain and water resources of the mountainous region, as well as over 20 cultural and historical scenic spots (areas) within the attraction, including the “Yangshao Culture Site Area,” “Ancient Stone Buddha Temple,” “Twin Steles,” “Five Dragons Gathering Sea,” “Qunli Reservoir,” “Millennium Ancient White Pine,” “Nanshe Temple,” and “Baoyu Mountain.” A full tour of the area takes about two days.
When you visit Kaiyuan Villa, you can not only explore the famous sights and cultural relics along the way, but also enjoy the bright sunshine and fresh air that make you feel like you’re in a natural oxygen bar. You can also engage in orchard sightseeing, self-picking, sampling wild vegetables, fresh fish, and free-range chicken, as well as go fishing, playing, and having fun with family and friends, fully relaxing yourself.
The reception center of the Fengxiang Kaiyuan Ecological Agricultural Tourism Villa has taken initial shape, with the capacity to receive 200 visitors daily for orchard sightseeing, self-picking, pond fishing, play, and dining. In 2005, the villa received a total of 6,000 visitors; in 2006, 9,000 visitors; in 2007, 13,000 visitors; and in 2008, 21,000 visitors. The villa has been developed into a distinctive rural agricultural tourism area in northern China, characterized by “high-quality agricultural products, beautiful natural landscapes, superior ecological environment, profound cultural heritage, abundant tourism activities, comprehensive reception facilities, and high-quality service.”
