As the water from Heaven Lake first flows into the Chengcha River, the surface is calm and crystal clear. The river glimmers with a bluish hue, reflecting the blue sky, white clouds, and mountain shadows. A serene rural tranquility envelops the wilderness, exuding a tranquil poetic charm. From this spot alone, one can hardly sense the majestic grandeur of the vast mountains; instead, it feels like a peaceful countryside scene. At the narrowest part of the river, people can cross by stepping on the rocks, and young people can even jump across. At a bend in the river, there stands a massive stone stele. On a giant turtle-shaped rock is engraved the three large characters “牛郎渡” (Cowherd’s Crossing). Nowadays, many young couples take photos here to symbolize their enduring love. The Cowherd’s Crossing rock has become a stone of love.
