Jiulong Mountain Scenic Area in Baoji
Jiulong Mountain combines the features of wonder, beauty, danger, and grandeur. It gets its name from the nine mountain peaks that gather together, resembling nine dragons soaring and playing in the sky. The scenic area is located in Pingtou Town, Chencang District, Baoji City, stretching from Matou Village in the east to the Xiahekou area of Nanzao Village in the west. The area is crisscrossed with gorges, featuring rushing waters and howling winds, evoking the majestic aura of dragons and tigers. Its peculiar caves are interconnected, as if sculpted by supernatural craftsmanship. As another core attraction developed after Dashuichuan Scenic Area and Lingbaoxia Scenic Area within the Dashuichuan International Tourism Resort, it is hailed as the “Little Three Gorges of Northwest China.”
