The Yushuiping site is located on Jinchiyen Rock, on the upper right side of the road north of Yushuiping Community, Xiadian Village, Tongdian Township, Lanping County. It is a cave that is 1.5 meters high, 4.7 meters wide, and 8.8 meters long. The cultural layer at the site is 65 centimeters thick. It was first discovered in 1976. Since excavations began in 1984 up to the present, a total of 7 ornaments, 1 stone axe, 2 stone adzes, and several fragments of sand-tempered gray pottery have been collected. Research indicates that the Yushuiping cave site is a Neolithic cultural site dating back approximately 4,000 years. It was designated as a county-level key cultural relics protection unit in 1986, and as a prefecture-level key cultural relics protection unit in Nujiang Prefecture in 1993, with a protected area covering 172,903.325 square meters.
The Ma'anshan cultural site is located 1 kilometer south of Yong’an Village, Wenchang Street, Jinping Town, Lanping County. The cultural layer is situated 80 to 100 centimeters below the surface and is about 60 to 80 centimeters thick. It was first discovered in 1974. Relevant departments began investigation and excavation in August 1984, during which a total of 16 stone axes, 3 stone adzes, 18 perforated stone knives, and 14 artifacts including bowls, cups, teapots, and jars were collected. Research confirms that this is a Neolithic cultural site. It was designated as a county-level key cultural relics protection unit in 1986, and as a prefecture-level key cultural relics protection unit in Nujiang Prefecture in 1993, with a protected area covering 8,000 square meters.
