Longhu Park in Deqing
Last updated 2026-10-14 — Known as the "finishing touch" in the urban construction of Deqing, Longhu Park was originally built on a muddy swamp. To enhance the city’s quality, cultural richness, and tourism competitiveness, and to improve the living environment in the northern part of the urban area, the Deqing County Party Committee and County Government launched this people-oriented project last year. The park has a total planned area of 1,080 mu, including a lake covering 285 mu. It integrates leisure, fitness, tourism, and sightseeing, and has now completed attractions such as Longhu Lake, Longhu Square, Longteng Square, the Lake Center Island, and the Nine Dragons Monument, where the main dragon sculpture stands at 69 meters tall. Once completed, Longhu Park will create a cityscape of clear blue waters and skies for Deqing County and become another highlight for tourism.

Themed around dragon culture, Longhu Park aims to become the most distinctive, eye-catching, and high-quality park in the Xijiang River Basin. It will form a new harmonious cultural landscape of mountains, lakes, and rivers in the county seat, providing residents with a large-scale recreational space to enjoy nature and engage in leisure activities.
