Florida Street is less than 2 kilometers long, narrow and crowded, yet it is the busiest street in Buenos Aires. The street is lined with numerous shops, stores, and restaurants. On this street, not only are major domestic brand-name businesses gathered, but companies from major Western cities such as New York, Paris, and London have also set up branches here. A dazzling array of goods fills the shops, and dance halls, nightclubs, restaurants, and theaters are found everywhere. During the day, this pedestrian-only street, where crowds of people flow non-stop and no cars are seen, resembles a river of humanity. At night, movie theaters, nightclubs, restaurants, and shops are all adorned with dazzling neon lights.
