Introduction: Qianling Mountain Park is a national 4A-level tourist attraction, located in the northwest of downtown Guiyang. It is named after Qianling Mountain, known as the “Finest Mountain in Southern Guizhou.” Established in 1957, the park is a comprehensive scenic area featuring ancient towering trees, clear springs, and unique rocks, embodying the spirit of the plateau. From the summit’s “Kanzhu Pavilion,” visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Guiyang. The park is famed for its beautiful mountains, clear waters, serene forests, ancient temples, sacred springs, and clever monkeys. Integrating mountains, forests, springs, lakes, caves, temples, and wildlife, Qianling Mountain Park stands out as a pristine haven, often described as “a gem within the city, naturally exquisite.” Over 1,500 species of trees, flowers, and more than 1,000 kinds of precious medicinal herbs grow here. Clear springs and peculiar rocks are found throughout, along with groups of macaques and birds.

Hongfu Temple: Ascend via the “Nine-Bend Path” to reach Hongfu Temple, built in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. It is one of Guizhou’s renowned Buddhist temples and a nationally key open monastery. Founded in the 11th year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1672) by Monk Chisong, the temple is accessible by following the winding “Nine-Bend Path,” which includes twenty-four turns. The temple boasts majestic halls, solemn Buddha statues, numerous stone pagodas, and ancient trees. The path is lined with cliff inscriptions, including a giant “Tiger” character over 6 meters high, inscribed by Zhao Dechang of Daishan but actually written by the famous Qing Dynasty artist Sun Qingyan (also known as Zhuyaqi). On the Wangcheng Platform of Xiangwang Ridge behind the temple (at an altitude of 1,270 meters), stands the “Kanzhu Pavilion” (inscribed in the spring of 1986 by master Liu Haisu).
