Longgong Bridge is a large river valley plain in the middle reaches of the Tongjiang River in Shaodong County. The river cuts straight through, surrounded by vast farmland and beautiful landscapes, offering a wealth of scenic spots. Like a paradise on earth, the first of the eight scenic wonders is the cave at Dongshan Rock in Zhanggongmiao within the county, reachable by vehicle from Shaodong. The cave stretches over half a mile in length, about fifty feet in height, and roughly eighty feet in width at its broadest. At the top of the eastern cave entrance, there is a hanging rock with a nine-leaf lingzhi mushroom that cannot be hit even by arrows or bird guns.
The mountain and river landscape of Longgong Bridge extends north to Zhujia Dam and south to Hujia Dam, spanning over ten miles in total. Surrounded by mountains and water, with vast fields stretching as far as the eye can see, the scenery is pleasant, and the river winds like a dragon through seven bends and eight turns.
