  The ancient pavilion architecture is a distinctive feature of Shaodong County. These pavilions are generally located along major transportation routes, providing travelers with a place to rest and take shelter from the heat. Among the surviving ones are Shuangjiang Pavilion, Fengshu Pavilion, Lingjiang Pavilion, Huancui Pavilion, Yufeng Pavilion, Siyi Pavilion, Leshan Pavilion, Douguang Pavilion, Dashan Pavilion, and Qingsong Pavilion. Most were built during the Qing Dynasty, except for Lingyun Pavilion, which was constructed 200 years ago.
