Yulong Ski Resort
Yulong Ski Resort is situated 7 kilometers north of Jixian County along the Jinfeng Highway, 125 kilometers from Tianjin. Surrounded by a snowy wonderland and scattered green cypresses, it lies at the heart of several major scenic areas in Jixian, boasting a unique geographical location. To the west are the Pan Mountain National Scenic Area—known for its blend of natural landscapes, historic sites, Buddhist temples, and imperial gardens—and the culturally rich Shiqu Garden. To the east are the Baxian Mountain National Nature Reserve, Jiulong Mountain National Forest Park, Jiuding Mountain with its strong rural charm, Longquan Mountain Amusement Park offering pastoral fun, Qingshanling Jinsong Garden, and the newly opened Maojiayu Proterozoic Unique Stone Forest Scenic Area, hailed as a natural geological museum, as well as LIMU TAI Scenic Area, known as the “Shennongjia of Tianjin.” To the north is the Huangyaguan Great Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a national 4A-level attraction. To the south is the Dule Temple, a key national cultural relic protection unit and an ancient Liao Dynasty temple.

The ski resort is built entirely to national standards. It features two beginner and two intermediate slopes, each 500 meters and 800 meters long respectively, as well as one snow tubing run. The average width of the runs is 50 meters, with a maximum slope of 17 degrees. The resort is fully equipped with skiing gear such as skis and suits, and staffed by professional ski instructors. It offers comprehensive snow activity zones for skiing, snow viewing, and snow play. Visitors can not only experience the thrill of speeding down the slopes but also admire the breathtaking northern scenery of “silver-snaking mountains” and “candle-like galloping plains.” Families and friends can also enjoy building snowmen and having snowball fights together.
