The Swan Lake Scenic Area in Yining County is situated within Yingtamu Township, Yining County, on the northern bank of the Ili River. It lies 45 kilometers from Yining City, the capital of the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, and 58 kilometers from Yining County. The core area of the scenic spot spans 54 square kilometers, with a planned peripheral conservation area of 136 square kilometers. The Swan Lake Scenic Area serves as a primary winter habitat for swans in the Ili River Valley. It is an exceptionally beautiful destination that combines flora and fauna landscapes, wetland views, and water system features, as well as a pristine and tranquil earthly paradise. The area is rich in natural springs, creating the remarkable natural phenomenon of unfrozen water surfaces in winter, while various aquatic plants provide abundant food for the swans.
