Palma National Park
Palma National Park is situated in the central-western region of Entre Ríos Province, Argentina. It was established in 1966 and spans 85 square kilometers. The park was created to protect the palm trees in the region. It has a temperate humid continental monsoon climate and features a grassland ecosystem, which is very suitable for the growth of palm trees. The palms in the park can reach heights of 10 to 20 meters, with leaves as long as 2.5 meters. They bear juicy, thick-skinned, orange-sized tropical fruits. The lifespan of these palm trees can be between 400 to 600 years. In other areas of the park, other typical xerophytic plants such as acacia can also be found. Besides plants, the park is also home to various animals, including woodpeckers, vizcachas, and foxes.
