Leigong Cave
Situated in Dayuan Village, Pingshang Township, Xinshao County, it is a renowned scenic spot. Although named a cave, it is in fact a cliff face that runs from north to south, measuring about 460 meters in length and as narrow as 3.3 meters at its thinnest part. The two sheer cliff faces on either side look as if hewn by axe and chisel, soaring straight up into the sky. A small stream that winds down from Fenshui'ao cuts through the rocky crevice. In the dry season, the water is crystal clear, revealing the fish swimming close to the rocks, clearly visible one by one; but when mountain torrents rage, the surging waters crash with a deafening roar like thunder. On both the left and right sides, there are symmetrical rock formations. The cave opening is 6 to 9 meters high and 33 meters wide, with a cool breeze blowing through, creating a serene and chilly atmosphere.
