The park consists of countless ponds, vast marshlands, meandering streams, and towering palm trees, enlivened by a wide variety of animals and birds. This colorful national park is an ideal place to observe the magnificent flora of Argentina. Common plants include the red and white quebracho trees of the Chaco, elegant lapacho with its striking stripes, polygonaceae plants, algarrobo trees, tara, caranday palms, rosemary, pindó palms, bamboo, bay leaves, and the typical butia palms.
Visitors strolling through the park can spot capybaras, crocodiles, foxes, armadillos, South American deer, ocelots, howler monkeys, maned wolves, otters, marsh deer, and over 150 species of birds.
