Kantong Village

　　The village in the center of the First Bend of the Nujiang River is called Kantong Village. Here, the river surface sits at an altitude of over 1,710 meters, offering breathtaking scenery and forming a peninsula surrounded by water on three sides. The picturesque surroundings make this area highly attractive to outsiders. During agricultural off-seasons or ethnic holidays, groups of people come here to boat, ride zip lines, sing folk songs, and dance. Romantic couples often sneak into the dense forests along the riverbanks to confess their love.

　　Kantong Village can be described as a paradise in the canyon, filled with idyllic rural views. This rare mountain spectacle in the canyon is referred to by locals as a green gem of the gorge.
