In the area around the Azalea Corridor, there are also large patches of Taiwan pines. These pines are known for their elegant and unique shapes. Most of these trees are over a hundred years old, with thick moss covering their trunks, twisted branches, and spreading canopies like umbrellas, appearing sturdy despite their age. The Large and Small Pine Islands are areas where these unique pines are densely concentrated.
Introduction:
The world-rare Ten-Mile Azalea Corridor stretches across the ridges of 17 peaks, presenting a spectacular sight. The azaleas here are all large trees, typically six to seven meters tall, with the tallest reaching over ten meters. There are numerous varieties of azaleas, including Monkey Head Azalea, Jinggang Azalea, Deer Horn Azalea, Red Hair Azalea, Small Leaf Azalea, Jiangxi Azalea, and 26 other types. Due to the high-altitude climate and the varying blooming periods of the different azalea species, from early April to the end of May each year, the various colors of azaleas on Bijia Mountain bloom in succession, creating a delightful scene.
