Qiunan Tun
This is the last village at the northern end of the Nujiang Grand Canyon. After crossing Chaohong Bridge to Nidatan, you climb over a mountain to get there. Chaohong Bridge is also a suspension bridge, built quite some time ago. Residential houses are scattered along the hillside. Once you reach here, going any further north involves only mule paths that lead all the way to Zayü in Tibet.

The Qiunan Tun Canyon is the most spectacular part of the entire Nujiang Grand Canyon, featuring dense primeval forests and numerous waterfalls. Traveling through the canyon, the scenery along the way is truly breathtaking. The distance from Bingzhongluo to Qiunan Tun is about 17 kilometers. Vehicles can only go as far as Shimen Pass, and the rest of the journey must be completed on foot (approximately four hours). As long as it's not raining, the road is manageable, but the route to Qiunan Tun becomes extremely difficult to pass when it rains—bringing a guide is highly recommended.
