For Huangyangjie Sentry Post, please see the dedicated detailed introduction; Shuangmashi Sentry Post is at an altitude of 1,286 meters. It got its name because there are two large rocks on the mountaintop stacked on top of each other, resembling two steeds. The surrounding forests have many wild peach trees, and the peach blossoms bloom as late as the fourth lunar month; Tongmuling Sentry Post is at an altitude of 860 meters, surrounded by forests of tung trees. When the tung flowers are in full bloom, they cover the hillsides; Zhushachong Sentry Post forms a north–south confrontation with Huangyangjie. On its cliffs, a stream of reddish water flows out, from which the post gets its name.
Introduction:
Located around Ciping, these are five key routes to Jinggangshan. The mountain peaks are steep, the valleys deep, and the terrain extremely perilous. They are, respectively, Huangyangjie Sentry Post to the north, Bamianshan Sentry Post to the south, Shuangmashi Sentry Post to the southwest, Zhushachong Sentry Post to the south, and Tongmuling Sentry Post to the east and west. In the deep ravines of these posts, one can see eagles circling halfway up the mountains — a truly magnificent sight. All five major sentry posts are now listed as National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units and are open to the public.
