The pine-covered rocks present yet another marvelous sight. The Ming Dynasty scholar Wu Tingshuo believed that while other places might inspire one cry of amazement per step, the scenery here elicits ten. Wu Zhaoqian’s book "Exploring the Wonders of Huangshan" lists the Lushan Waterfall, Yandang Dragon Pool, and Huangshan Stone Nails as the "Three Wonders Under Heaven."
