Address: Xing Village, Gantang Town, 5 kilometers from the urban area of Huangshan District, Huangshan City, Anhui Province
The ancestral hall was first built in the Ming Dynasty, later destroyed, and reconstructed in the late Qing Dynasty. It still retains architectural features from the Ming Dynasty.
The ancestral hall has three courtyards, with hard mountain-style walls. Its structure follows the post-and-lintel style, and the entrance gate is designed as a five-phoenix tower. The hall is 58.6 meters deep, 22.6 meters wide, with eaves 7.5 meters high, covering a construction area of 1,324.36 square meters. The first courtyard serves as the entrance hall, with a courtyard to the west and corridors on both sides of the courtyard; the second courtyard is the main hall; and the third courtyard is the bedroom hall. The gate tower, architrave beams, brackets under the eaves, spandrels, diagonal supports, and large brackets are all carved with figures, birds, flowers, and pavilions. The hall features wood carvings, brick carvings, and stone carvings, all with vivid and lifelike designs.
The ancestral hall is now well-preserved and was designated as a fifth batch Provincial Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit by the People’s Government of Anhui Province in October 2004.
