Within the nature reserve, there are wild plants such as ironwood pines, ginkgoes, camphor trees, orchids, and gastrodia elata, as well as rare plants like Japanese cryptomeria, lacquer trees, sweet gums, lilies, and crabapple blossoms. The area is also home to rare animals including badgers, foxes, wild boars, rabbits, muntjacs, pheasants, thrushes, and pit vipers, along with second-class nationally protected species such as macaques, large Indian civets, Lady Amherst's pheasants, and white-eared pheasants. Furthermore, first-class nationally protected animals such as leopards, river deer, golden eagles, and forest musk deer are also found here. Jiulong Mountain in Cangxi is divided into the Front Jiulong Mountain and the Back Jiulong Mountain by Jiulong Pool. It boasts vast forests, elegant mountain shapes, diverse skies, and a wealth of natural landscapes. In spring, enjoy blooming flowers; in summer, admire the landscape; in autumn, watch the sea of clouds; and in winter, trek through snow-covered scenes. There are 100 large and small peaks scattered across the terrain, and numerous lakes that resemble gemstones embedded in the landscape. Step into the reserve and experience the breath of pure nature.
