The Bijia Mountain Scenic Area consists of three parts: Bijia Mountain, Zhusha Chong, and Huang'ao.

Bijia Mountain is situated 35 kilometers southwest of Ciping and stands at an altitude of 1,357 meters. The mountain is primarily composed of three main peaks:

(the central peak Yangmei Peak), the western peak (Wangzhi Peak), and the eastern peak (Guandao Peak), forming a shape resembling the Chinese character “山” (mountain). Viewed from afar, it looks like an ancient inkstone stand, hence the name Bijia Mountain (Inkstone Stand Mountain). The entire Bijia Mountain Scenic Area is a blend of natural and cultural attractions, though Bijia Mountain itself is predominantly a natural landscape. The area is majestic, lush, steep, rugged, and scenically beautiful. Notable attractions include seven major peaks, five unique wonders, as well as more than ten other sites such as the Large and Small Pine Islands.

Zhusha Chong Outpost is located south of Ciping at an elevation of 635 meters. It is one of the five major outposts of the Jinggangshan military base area. Beside the outpost, there is a cave that often seeps cinnabar-laced water. The outpost derives its name from this phenomenon.

Huang'ao has long been known as the southern gateway to the Jinggangshan revolutionary base area. During the Jinggangshan struggle period, Mao Zedong, Zhu De, and the Red Army frequently carried out revolutionary activities here.
