Yulong Valley

　　The Wuyishan Yulong Valley Scenic Area is situated in the southern part of the ecological protection zone upstream of the Nine Bend Stream in the Wuyi Mountain Scenic Area, 13.8 kilometers from the Wuyi Mountain Resort. The total operating area covers 930 hectares, including a core scenic area of 858 hectares. It features exhibits on the history of Ming Dynasty silver mines and a series of waterfalls. Highlights include the Guest-Greeting Pine, Yulong Waterfall, Mulong Waterfall, Zhao Tian Zhu (Pillar Illuminating the Sky), Pearl Waterfall, Sword Pond, Homesick Waterfall, Jiudie Shoal, Fuxi Cave, and Yulong Cave, complemented by rustic teahouses. It is a comprehensive scenic destination integrating canyons, waterfall clusters, caves, artificial lakes, and pristine ecological forests.

　　The Yulong Valley Scenic Area is an ecological canyon stretching from Hongxing Village to Nanshan Village in Xingcun Town. In the upper reaches of the canyon lies an artificial lake formed by a reservoir and ancient silver mining tunnels dating back over 700 years. The canyon boasts lush vegetation, verdant mountains, clear waters, numerous waterfalls, and a rich diversity of rare birds and animals. The ecological environment and tourism resources are exceptionally well-preserved. Notably, the ancient silver mine tunnels are the only ones in China currently developed for tourism. The development of Yulong Valley fills a gap in the Wuyi Mountain Scenic Area by introducing cave exploration, while also enriching the overall tourism experience in Wuyi.
