Longtan Scenic Area

　　    Longtan is situated 7 kilometers northwest of Ciping and is made up of two scenic zones: Wulongtan and Jinshimian. It is a scenic area where natural beauty blends with cultural elements. The Wushen River is the source of the "Five Pools and Eighteen Waterfalls" of Longtan. After the stream rushes through the Xiaojiang Gorge, it suddenly plunges down the cliffs, then cascades down four steep terraces, forming five majestic waterfalls and deep pools in a terraced pattern. These are the five pools and five waterfalls: Biyu (Jade), Suolong (Locked Dragon), Zhenzhu (Pearl), Jigu (Drumming), and Yunu (Jade Maiden). Upon closer inspection, the five pools are filled with clear, shimmering water, shaded by tree reflections, with cliffs as if carved by knives and axes. At the base of the cliffs are peculiar rocks, while delicate flowers and lush greenery cover the surroundings. Looking up at the five waterfalls, each pool holds uncommon waters, and each waterfall resembles a fairy maiden—let your imagination roam with the scenery, as a thousand forms stir within your heart.

　　    Major attractions also include: the Xiaojiang Red Army Hospital, Red Army Cave, Changhong Waterfall, Shuilian Waterfall, Jinshimian, and Golden Turtle Drumming.
