The Chaoyang Temple Scenic Area is a national AA-level tourist attraction. Introduction to the Chaoyang Temple Scenic Area: The area includes Fengguan Mountain, Dazhai Mountain, Chuandongzi, Gongjiayan, Xiaoxikou Reservoir, Wangjiazhai, Dashuhe, as well as scattered attractions such as Jiugu Mountain and Dangyangba. The region around Fengguan Mountain and Dazhai Mountain features ten ancient scenic spots of the old Chaoyang Temple: "Heavenly Pool Mirror," "Tiger Head in Emerald," "White Mark Hanging on the Cliff," "Lion Beach Roaring at Night," "Fairy Scene of Penglai," "Flying Springs from Stone Caves," "Green Feathers of the Wind Tail," "Stone Like a Black Tophat," "Tiger List Opened by Heaven," and "Stone Cave Sky Bridge." "Stone Cave to Heaven" (also known as "Awakening Lion Cave"): It is one of the eight ancient scenic spots of Jianshi County, located halfway up the mountain behind Chaoyang Temple on the outskirts of the county town. Legend has it that it was where Monk Yufeng refined immortal elixirs. The great Song Dynasty poet Huang Tingjian wrote: “Ancient trees rustle in the cave’s mouth wind; those of old once escaped their cage here. Before the cliff flows a trickle of stream—good to cleanse the dust from one’s heart, like the old man.” On the left wall at the cave’s entrance are three large characters “Awakening Lion Cave,” inscribed by the elder Shi Ying. The upper walls inside the cave are covered with poems and writings by literati through the ages, some of which can still be faintly seen. "Heavenly Pool Temple": Located atop Fengguan Mountain, it was first built in the mid-Ming Dynasty and renovated during the Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty. Originally, it consisted of the Buddha Hall, Patriarch Hall, Guanyin Hall, Eighteen Arhats Hall, Jade Emperor Tower, Lüzu Pavilion, and Spirit Official Hall. It gradually deteriorated after the founding of the People's Republic of China. Currently, three temple buildings—the Buddha Hall, Patriarch Hall, and Guanyin Hall—have been restored. In early spring, the mountainside bursts into bloom with competing pear and peach blossoms, creating a stunning sight. "Shamao Mountain": Also known as "Stone Like a Black Tophat," one of the ten scenic spots of Chaoyang Temple, it is located near Yujia Tai Zi and beside Dazhai Mountain, resembling an ancient black official’s hat. "Confucius Temple": Also known as the Temple of Confucius, originally situated in the compound of the county Party committee, it consisted of the Dacheng Hall, Jingsheng Tower, and Yuzhen Tower, and was rebuilt in the fourth year of the Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty. In 2000, the temple was relocated to the foot of Chaoyang Temple.
Ethnic Culture Park: Located by the Guangrun River at the foot of Chaoyang Temple, it features structures such as memorial archways, pavilions, teahouses, and corridors, making it a popular leisure spot for local residents.
