Ravensberger Spinning Mill
The Ravensberger Spinning Mill is situated in Bielefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Constructed between 1855 and 1857, it was once one of the largest flax spinning mills in Europe during the 19th and early 20th centuries. This three-story brick building, painted in light gray, consists of dozens of rooms of varying sizes. As the mill gradually phased out of operation, its aged walls became covered with lush green ivy.

In front of the main building of the spinning mill lies Rochdale Park, which was established in 1978 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the city partnership between Bielefeld and the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale in the UK. The park is filled with various plants and trees. Today, the entire area surrounding the Ravensberger Spinning Mill has developed into a gathering place for culture enthusiasts. In addition to Rochdale Park, it includes two museums, a cinema, an adult education center, and a restaurant. The site also hosts a diverse range of high-quality cultural events, from concerts to musical performances, attracting numerous young people and art lovers all year round.
