Yanling Rock
Yanling Rock is located 2.5 kilometers east of Zhenhua Village, Qiaoxu Town, Guigang City. According to the Republican-era *Guixian County Annals*, “Yanling is situated in the area of Guonanli, connected to Tonggu Ridge to the south, stretching over ten li, with the Cool Water Well of Yanling Temple originating from this ridge being the cleanest.” Yanling rises over 40 meters above the surrounding plain and is a picturesque tourist destination. The cave is spacious, with naturally formed stone platforms, stools, and canopies. Inside there is a large pool, and the main cave entrance is 6 meters wide, with an unfathomable depth. There are 10 stone inscriptions in the cave, most of which are located near the entrance but have been destroyed by explosions. Sixty meters inside the cave entrance, there is a naturally formed rock formation resembling Guanyin sitting on a lotus. On the rock wall near Guanyin’s head, there is a Qing Dynasty Jiaqing-era cliff inscription, measuring 1.3 meters in height and 2 meters in width, written in regular script with characters about 6 cm in size. The inscriptions have become blurred and illegible over time.
